This weekend one of television's greatest talents, Johnny Carson, passed away at the age of 79. He was one of the reasons I pursued a media career in the first place (first in television, then in radio). His wit, creativity, humour, and improv skills were second to none, and it is unlikely television will ever see another genuine talent like Mr. Carson (and it certainly hasn't since he retired in 1992). To Johnny Carson I say, thanks for making me stay up late every night laughing myself to sleep. You were a true inspiration and a hero.
