Cars: Everything Old Is New Again....

Just when I thought the automotive designers were getting dull (everything either looks like a Camry or something so angular Batman would consider driving it) some solid, classic designs have been unveiled in Detroit and LA that highlight some exciting new vehicles. Some people hate retro-styled cars (but equally as many dislike the bold, futuristic designs of BMW's Chris Bangle, so go figure), but I think the return of the following classic names and designs are very welcome:

Lamborghini Miura (the original remains one of the most coveted Italian sportscars of all time)

Cheverolet Camaro (Time to book The Dead Milkmen)

Dodge Challenger (All we need to do now is clone Steve McQueen)

Chrysler Imperial (A Bentley with enough change leftover to buy a house...)

Toyota FJ Cruiser (A classic returns to wipe away the vanilla)

Finally, automakers have re-learned that cars are just as much about art as they are about function, and that you CAN have both. Is automotive design finally exciting again.... Could be.
