The Coconut Monkey Rocket is one of my favorite electrolounge artists to surface in some time. His cut & paste compositions mix vintage lounge samples from the 1950s and 1960s with modern electronics. If you enjoy groups like Tipsy, Ursula 1000, Nicola Conte, and Pizzicato Five, then be sure to check out his music. Last summer I was playing tunes for an outdoor pool party for about 150 people and his track Shopping For Explosives went over very well with the crowd (mixed between Hit & Run Holiday by The Thrill Kill Kult and Samba 1000 by Ursula 1000). He's got a new full length album on the way and will also be featured on a new Stereolab tribute compilation this summer, so keep an eye out for both releases. In the meantime, here's a taste of his great music...Thank You
