Originally released as a DJ-only 12" in 2001 by Germany's Peppermint Jam Records, the Boris Dlugosch & Michi Lange Star Mix of Starchild will now be included in the Level 42 album re-issues as one of many bonus tracks available on CD for the first time in 2007. The original track was released in 1981 and was Level 42's first hit in America as it reached No. 60 on the club charts thanks to its popularity in the NYC clubs. In 2001, nine remixes were released under the BMR with Level 42 heading. Like the 1981 version, they also hit the European and American club scene with great success.
