London Bomb Attacks......

My thoughts and prayers go to all of those impacted by the London bomb attacks. Terrorists continue to twist and distort religion into a justifiable excuse to kill people. This is evil in its lowest form. Terrorists are nothing but cowardly killers who latch on to the issues that best suit thier fruitless causes. You terrorists are the weakest of the weak and have NO courage whatsoever. You hide in caves and kill from afar, never facing your innocent victims. You cowardly bastards think you are so brave, and that you'll be forever rewarded by your so-called God once you spill civillian blood. Well, here's a little reality check you spinless fools. The people of England, America, and the rest of the free world will NEVER bow to you, no matter what you say or do. We may lose many innocent victims along the way, but we will never allow you to rest, and we will destroy your cause in every possible way. This world will NEVER be yours, and you will be reduced to rodents living in caves, hunted out and destroyed. Our spirit will outlive and outshine all the evil you can throw at us. Our world may not be perfect, but it is a far cry from the warped vision you strive for. If it is war you want, be prepared to lose, as the free world stands steadfast against you.

It was quite amazing how quickly things started to get back to normal in London.

Peter and I went for a walk to the supermarket on Thursday night (fewer than 12 hrs after the bombings) and you'd barely know that anything extraordinary had happened that day.

We live quite near one of the stations that got bombed and everything around the station was cordoned off and there were police everywhere - so near the station it was obvious something had happened, but once we walked a few blocks away, everything seemed pretty much the same as any other evening.

As far as I can tell, most Londoners seem surprisingly calm about it all. Quite a lot of the transport system was back up and running by Thursday evening and people were using it. The stations that were actually bombed are probably going to be out of action for a little while, but a surprising amount of the transport system was back to normal within 24 hours.

Peter and I went out again today and everything seemed all perfectly normal. There were plenty of people out and about and travelling on trains and buses.

I'm sure it's very different for the people who were actually injured in the attacks (or know people who were injured or killed), but I think it's quite a positive thing to see that Londoners generally seem to be dealing with it pretty well.
