On the heels of Thurl Ravenscroft's passing (Tony The Tiger, "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch"), Disney fans (and animation fans in general) lost the voices of two more famous characters within days of eachother.
John Fiedler, the stage actor who won fame as the voice of Piglet in Walt Disney's Winnie-the-Pooh films, died Saturday, The New York Times reported in Monday editions. He was 80. Paul Winchell, ventriloquist, inventor and children's TV show host best known for creating the lispy voice of Winnie the Pooh's animated friend Tigger, died the Friday morning before Fiedler. He was 82. A very sad (and almost ironic) pair of passings, as both were very talented. While both actors had large industry resumes, each will be remembered most for the two famous Disney characters they voiced for generations....
