"Gormlaith: Princess of Ireland" Radio Drama....

"Gormlaith: Princess of Ireland" was written and directed by SMPA associate professor, Kerric Harvey, and aired on Canada's Sonic Society's weekly radio program out of Halifax on CKDU 97.5 FM, on September 20th. "Gormlaith" focuses on human relationships and how they affected world events during the battle of Clontarf, which occurred on Easter Weekend in 1014 A.D., a battle between the Vikings and the Celts for control of medieval Dublin. The docu-drama features the voices of SMPA professor Christopher Sterling, GW Women's Studies adjunct professor, Laureen Smith, GW theatre professor, Nate Garner, Corey Flintoff of NPR's "All Things Considered," professional actor, Paul Gelbuski and GW alumni, Angela Lauria and Jenny Towns. The entire recording was recorded and edited by SMPA students using the WRGW facilities. The program, complete with an interview with SMPA professor Kerric Harvey, has been archived and can now be heard here.
