New Release Spotlight: Jesu

Hydra Head Records has just released Congueror, the new full-length album by the UK-based duo, Jesu. If The Jesus & Mary Chain did a little shoegazing on the side, this is what they would sound like. "Ethereal distortion" is the best way I can describe it. Tranquility among subdued, yet fuzzy guitars. I used to live for this kind of stuff in my college radio days. The band released the second track from the album, Old Year, as a free download via CMJ (which incorrectly lists the song title as Tomorrow).
