For those of you who know me, Level 42 has always been one of my favorite bands. Much bigger in Europe than the U.S., they were best known for the hits "Something About You" and "Lessons in Love" (1985 and 1987). The band was a mix of Brit-funk, fusion and pop. Lead singer, Mark King, is also considered one of the world's greatest bass players. The band is set to release their first new album since 1994, and Mark King can be found on the new Hardage track "The Genius of Love" (which appears on "The Five Doubts"
Some of the band's best material has never been released. During the 1985 recording sessions they created a great 11+ minute instrumental called "Hell" which sounds like a spooky spy theme. The track never made it onto any album, single, or promo release. But, here it is in its full glory for everyone to enjoy.
