This is a sad day indeed.
Robert A. Moog, whose self-named
synthesizers turned electric currents into sound and opened the musical wave that became electronica, has
died at the age of 71. Entire albums were created using Moogs as the main theme, and in the mid 90's,
The Moog Cookbook was created paying hommage.
As a keyboard player myself, I am even more saddened by the passing of this musical legend. Thanks Robert for creating one of the most versatile instruments of all time. You will be greatly missed.
Paul.......
PS: The great Planet Xtabay site has posted Claude Denjean's rare "MOOG!" album as a tribute.
